Job Description
Five local organisations are looking for people to join their Boards of Trustees:
- CARE Marlborough
- Marlborough Parents’ Centre
- Asthma Marlborough
- Havelock Community Association
- Volunteer Marlborough
Volunteers interested in joining a Board should be reliable, mature, and interested in and passionate about the services that an organisation provides.
No matter where your skills lie or what your working/volunteering history, everyone has something to offer. Most boards meet monthly for an hour or two at a time, Outside of meeting, there is a small time commitment for reviewing reports and other documents ahead of meetings.
Applicants should prepare a CV. A criminal record check will also be required.

Boards set the strategic direction of an organisation, and ensures the organisation is achieving its social mission. Governance of non-profit organisations is all about providing strategic leadership, while focusing on the processes for making and implementing decisions that will continue to advance an organization’s principles and mission.
