The Role
An exciting opportunity to join the Business Change team, working closely with your peers and our business to support and guide all change management processes. This includes proactively engaging with our key stakeholders, business owners and with impacted teams to validate and assess the scale, impact and approach to business change. Managing all the people aspects of a change around business process, people and technology within Chorus, our customers and our service companies.   We work across a range of projects and contribute to growing our overall change maturity, capability and value proposition

As a Change Manager at Chorus you will be responsible for preparing our people - this includes our customers, suppliers and service companies by assessing the business impact of a change, creating the business transition plan and facilitating business readiness.

You will also see yourself working to ensure our people and processes are ready to deliver through the execution of strong people centred change skills including the ability to share the vision, assessing change data, plan the people aspects of change management, personal adaptability, influencing others, coach managers and selecting change champions.  This also means you will be comfortable working with technical changes.

This role can be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. 


Your Background
If the above sounds like something you’d be interested in, here are the qualities and skills you possess:

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement capability, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated experience managing change desired (ideally 3 years plus);
  • An understanding of how people go through a change and behaviours associated with change;
  • Excellent communication skills as well as adaptable, flexible and work well under pressure;
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies;
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle;
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and drive virtual teams;
  • Ability to consult and build buy-in from business stakeholders;
  • A qualification in Change Management methodology e.g. PROSCI is desirable.
