Job Published: April 18, 2019 17:17

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable gardener to come along to our young parents’ group and talk about gardening. Topics for presentation could include gardening techniques, when to plant, what to plant, companion planting, tool use, safety, or anything else you can think of.

A demonstration is not required but if you would like to bring along props, it would make the presentation all the more interesting and memorable.
This is not a gardening role per se, so you do not need to be physically fit or able. All we need is for you to have knowledge and experience and be willing to share it! Experience with public speaking or teaching/tutoring would also be preferable.

The group meets on Wednesday mornings from 10am – 12pm at the Bythell Street Plunket rooms.
This could be a one-off session or a short series; your choice!
A date has not been set for this presentation; the successful applicant will coordinate with Debbie, the group’s organiser to decide on a date or set of dates.

The volunteer who presents will be welcome to join in the morning tea that Is provided for the group.
