Operator Maintainer (Mechanical)
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operator Maintainer to become a member of the South Island Regional Team at Trustpower. This role is diverse and challenging; you will have a mechanical trade background with a 'can do' attitude and a keen willingness to learn. Although not essential as training and ongoing professional development is provided applicants with previous experience within the generation industry would be preferred.
Although the successful candidate will be predominantly based at Coleridge Power Station they must have the ability and willingness to travel for short term assignments in other regional areas. You will undertake planned preventative and corrective maintenance, respond to fault conditions, and undertake some project work on Trustpower's Hydro Schemes in the region. In addition to the maintenance of the assets, the successful candidate will also become skilled at the safe isolation and restoration of our generation plant so that all work is undertaken in the safest possible manner.
We are looking for someone with excellent fault finding abilities, planning skills, and sound computer literacy. The candidate will have previous experience working with Asset Management System. Health and Safety are core to what we do and how we operate at Trustpower, so it is expected that the successful candidate will have a great attitude towards Health and Safety.
