We're looking to recruit a volunteer coordinator for Selmes Garden Trust. The duties involved in this role are:
1. Maintain volunteer roster
- Be point of contact
- Maintain roster
2. Organise and coordinate volunteer induction/training
3. Organise volunteer acknowledgement
- Volunteer of the month
- Social events
- Thanking volunteers
- Giving feedback
4. Liaise with Volunteer Week programme
5. Liaise with other community groups e.g. Greypower, Garden Clubs, Volunteer Marlborough
This role is expected to take approximately four hours per week on average.
Volunteers interested in this role will need to be organised, personable, and passionate about volunteerism and working with people with disabilities. Previous experience in an admin role will be advantageous.
This role can be done from home part of the time but some time will need to be spent on site.
There is no age limit for this role.

Selmes is not only a retail nursery, but it is also a charitable trust that is focussed on providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Selmes provides employment and training for around fifteen members of the Marlborough community – around ten of whom live with a disability. By securing meaningful employment for them we are able to make a significant difference for not only these people, but their families and the wider community.
